Generative music visuals based on city development.

Issue

“Me & Mobi” is all about breaking the classic sterotypes of music. The three artists of the band do not want to simply play song after song on stage, but rather to make an improvising, experimental performance. In order to enhance this special kind of live show, they wanted it to be accompanied by live-visuals.

Concept

“Agglomeration“ is a generative realtime music visualisation. Based on the album title „Agglo“ the visualisation reinterprets the concept of the agglomeration, the concentration of urban areas and their coalescence. Therefore, each one of the three artists matched one abstract figure of a city map. These three cities then start to become a unit during the song, just as the musicians do through their music. Depending on which song the band plays, different patterns and consequently different cities develop.

The project was performed live at the Landes-Jazz-Festival 2019. Read more about it here.
